CONTRACTOR PROFILE IN IT LONG RUN for the Adaptability key to Cleveland firm's longevity Frank Novak & Sons has been in the painting business in Cleveland for 100 years. Allen Pinchot (far right) began working with Frank Jr. in 1959, and now runs the company with, from left to right: son Mark, daughter Pam, son Brad and wife Gayle. His son, Frank Jr. contin- ued the family business, and a pivotal point occurred in 1959, when he hired Allen Pinchot as an estimator. Pinchot started bringing in commercial work, and was made a partner in 1976. "Frank and I were partners right up until his death in 1989," Pinchot says.
